Friends

Rhett AkinsRhett Akins
Rhett’s a super talented country music singer and one heck of a hunter. Rhett and I were both born and raised in Georgia. It’s crazy how much we have in common, but our love of huntin’ is what led us to become great friends. He’s the only guy I know who can beat me in “Name That Tune”.

Mark WomackMark Womack
Marc’s the producer of “Road Trips”, and he’s more like a brother to me. Marc and I have logged thousands and thousands of miles together while filming and hunting. Heck, we spend more time together than we do with our wives, so it’s a good thing we get along and work well together. Marc’s so creative and he’s always looking for the next fun thing to do. His positive attitude and easy-going personality keep me upbeat and ready to take another road trip. Given Marc’s creative talent I couldn’t pass up the opportunity for partner with him on a new TV venture, Bone Collector’s to be aired on the Outdoor Channel in 2009.

Nick MundtNick Mundt
Nick is one of the funniest dudes I’ve ever met. He’s always cuttin’ up and making everyone around him laugh. It’s easy for his nutty personality to make you overlook his ability to stack game in the back of the truck, but this guy can get it done! He’s a talented cameraman as well. I met Nick while he was guiding in Wyoming. He now lives in South Dakota, where he spends his time stacking up fun road trips and collectin’ bone. Another talent that you’ll soon be able to tune into on our new show Bone Collector’s, coming in 2009.

The Road Trips CrewThe Road Trips crew
I owe these guys a huge debt of gratitude. I spend more time with them than with anyone else. Steve Finch helped create the show, and he’ll always be like kin to me. Phillip Culpepper is a camera-totin’, bone collectin’ killer, and Tyler “Sqweedunck” Virias is the original Ohio-born American Pie redneck. I couldn’t do what I do without these guys.

Ted NugentTed Nugent
Need I say more than the name? This guy is one of my favorites for more reasons than I can list. Not only is he passionate about hunting but he shows his support of our troops and the Outdoors in the media from The Outdoor Channel to CNN News. The Nuge doesn’t back down when it comes to his beliefs, he always stands strong. Not too mention he can burn up a guitar like no other.

Bill JordanDavid BlantonBill Jordan & David Blanton
I think of these guys more as brothers than friends. We’ve shared a lot in camp through the years from hunts to family to everything in between. They are awesome guys who I’ll always look to for advice and support. I’m thankful to them for giving me the chance to join the Team and will always appreciate the support they have given me over the years.

Blake SheltonBlake Shelton
Blake is so hilarious and talented it’s sick. He just knows how to make people kick back and enjoy themselves. I always have a great time when Blake’s in camp. And not only is he a super talented singer, he’s also one heck of a killin’ machine. The dude can flat out shoot.

Travis (T-Bone) TurnerTravis (T-Bone) Turner
T-Bone is one of those guys like Nick Mundt. He is always cuttin’ up and making everyone laugh. He’s got one thing on Nick though that might put him one notch above, his knowledge of bows. The man knows BOWS! If you have a bow question or one that needs attention he’s the go to guy. I would never dream of letting anyone, outside of myself, touch my bow. Plus he hunts and can consistently close the coffin. What better person to have on a hunt. With T’s love of the Outdoor and skills it only makes sense to include him in our new show, Bone Collector’s. Watch out for what T’s got coming!

Home Folk, Manchester, Georgia All my home folk in Manchester, Georgia
No matter where my Road Trips take me, Manchester will always be home. I’m proud to have gone to school there and to have been a Blue Devil. Man, there are so many people there that mean the world to me. Weyman and Tim were my partners in crime; we did a lot of good and a lot of bad. Boys will be boys, I guess - especially country boys! Chip and Boo and I learned to hunt together. We killed - and spooked - our share of game, no doubt. I also want to recognize the whole Blue Devil football team and coaching staff. I’ve got so many great memories of my time with them.

Booger Bottom BucksChart, Michael, Mark, Matt and I started a band called the “Booger Bottom Bucks”. We were sure we were headed for Nashville, but life had other plans for us. Even though we started the band to meet more chicks, being in the band really made me love music even more. It gave me an appreciation for many of the artists I now have opportunities to hunt with.
